That’s all Folks

Fitlike Records had something very unique and special going for a few years but I’ve decided to call it a day. Thank you anyone who has contributed, advised, purchased, viewed and generally supported the label, it has been massively appreciated.

Elphinstone Institute Public Lectures

spikA Huge thanks to the Elphinstone Institute for inviting me along to chat about the label at University of Aberdeen as part of their public lecture series. Had a wonderful evening with a small but enthusiastic audience, thanks to all that attended. Looking over how the label started and what it achieved has given me lots to think about going forward.

The wonderful series from Laura Barton, Notes from a Musical Island visited Aberdeen recently and the episode went out this week. Was really pleased to be part of the series that explores musicians relationships with their locality and environment. The episode will be on the iPlayer for a short while and you can listen here and features three Fitlike artists in CS Buchan, Best Girl Athlete and Kitchen Cynics, along with former Scottish Album of the Year award winner Kathryn Joseph.
